The Nigerian entertainment industry mourns the loss of Nollywood actress, Cindy Amadi, who has sadly passed away.
Cindy Amadi gained recognition for her role alongside Uzomaka Aniunoh in the movie “Ife,” a film that tackled themes related to the LGBTQ+ community. The movie was directed by Uyaiedu Ikpe-Etim, sister of filmmaker and actress Nse Ikpe-Etim.
The producers of the film officially announced Cindy Amadi’s death through a statement shared on their Instagram page on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
Pamela Adie, a prominent gay rights activist and producer, also confirmed the actress’s demise in a heartfelt message shared on her Facebook story.
The death of Cindy Amadi leaves a void in the entertainment industry, and she will be remembered for her contributions to film and her participation in important discussions on social issues.
