Rivers House Of Assembly Set Ablaze Amid Impeachment Plans Against Governor Sim Fubara By Wike [Video]

Rivers State House of Assembly has reportedly been set ablaze by unknown assailants amid an impeachment move against the state Governor, Sim Fubara.

It was gathered that a fire incident occurred at the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex around 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 29.

Presently, security personnel from the nearby Rivers Police Command have taken control of the complex, while a fire truck was observed at the location.

The incident happens amid speculations about potential impeachment plans against Governor, Sim Fubara, allegedly orchestrated by his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

Efforts to gather information from House members have been unsuccessful as they have refrained from commenting on the rumored developments.

The connection between the fire incident and the ongoing political tensions remains unclear, but rumors of an ongoing dispute between Governor Sim Fubara and Nyesom Wike, who currently serves as the FCT minister, have circulated for some time.
