Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has expressed concern about the prevalent jealousy and envy within the Igbo community.

In a post shared on his Facebook page,  Yul Edochie said that when an Igbo person achieves success, their biggest critics are often fellow Igbo people, including family members.

The actor called for unity and urged Igbos to overcome jealousy and competition, emphasizing the need for positive change within the community.

He stressed that addressing these issues would contribute to the collective betterment of the Igbo people, encouraging them to appreciate each other’s success rather than fostering envy.

Yul Edochie said, “Too much jealousy and envy amongst Igbos. Why??

“If you’re doing well as an Igbo person, your biggest hater is your fellow Igbo person. Sometimes even your family members. Igbos we need to do better. Why?

“We’re great. Stop the envy. Stop the competition. Things change when we address them.”
