The news was confirmed on Tuesday by Olanike Adegoke, Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary.
In a statement issued by Michael Oba, the judiciary’s Public Relations Officer, Adegoke honored the late Chief Judge, describing him as “a respected jurist who dedicated his life to upholding the principles of fairness, equity, and justice.”
“The contributions of the late CJ to the judiciary and Ekiti State as a whole are immeasurable. His legacy will be deeply missed” Adegoke remarked.
Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi in Ekiti East, joined the Nigerian Bar in 1986.
He was appointed Chief Judge of Ekiti State in October 2021 and served with distinction until his death.
