Adura Aloba, the brother of the late singer Mohbad, has denied claims made by actor Yomi Fabiyi during a justice advocacy conference.
During the conference, Yomi Fabiyi alleged that Adura Aloba demanded ₦3 million from him in exchange for an incriminating video of his late brother fighting his wife Wunmi.
According to Fabiyi, the video supposedly depicted Mohbad falling down the staircase and hitting his head on the floor.
Fayibi said, “Adura Aloba, Mohbad’s younger brother, sent me a DM after listening to me for a while and reacting in the comment section.
“When he realised that I didn’t see the DM in time, he asked me to check my DM, and lo and behold, he offered to give me a video of a fight between the late singer Mohbad and his wife for ₦3 million.”
Responding to the accusations, Adura firmly denied the claims, stating he would never conceal evidence that could help uncover the truth about his brother’s death.
Adura clarified that the video in question was recorded by Mohbad three years ago and stored on a phone he had sold to a friend.
Mohbad’s brother added that he only became aware of the video after it surfaced online and insisted he was not the one who sent it to Fabiyi.
He said, “Firstly, I don’t have much to say because this case is in court already. I can’t know what killed my brother and be silent about it.
“So about that video, the video is from three years ago, and I had it on my phone because Mohhad recorded it; however, I’m not the one who sent the actor the video. I sold the phone the video was on to my friend. I had no idea such video existed.”
