Court Gants Portable N2m Bail, Adjourns Assault Case To March 5
A Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has granted popular singer Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, better known as Portable, bail set at ₦2 million.

Portable was arraigned before the court on Thursday, February 20, on charges of allegedly assaulting government officials.
The singer turned himself in at the Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) in Lagos on Wednesday morning after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.
He was later transferred to the command’s headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Facing a five-count charge, Portable was accused of conspiracy, assault, obstruction, and being armed with weapons such as cutlasses and guns, as well as conduct likely to cause harm.
However, he pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Nine of his associates had previously been arraigned on February 6 on similar charges.
The associates—Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Samuel Adeleke (28), Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20), Gospel Kanu (20), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), and Fatimo Muhammed (26)—allegedly assaulted and obstructed town planning officers Abidemi Onabanjo, Ramon Lateef, and Akinpelumi Oyero while they were carrying out their official duties.
The incident reportedly took place at Odogwu Bar, a business owned by Portable.
Following his not-guilty plea, Portable’s lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, requested bail, assuring the court that the singer was remorseful.
Magistrate O. L. Oke granted the bail request with a ₦2 million bond and one surety. The case was adjourned until March 5 for trial.
KanyiDaily recalls that Portable was previously declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly attacking government officials carrying out their duties.
