Fiokee Announces Burial Arrangements For Sister Allegedly Killed By Her Boyfriend

Nigerian guitarist Ifiok Effanga, popularly known as Fiokee, has announced the burial details for his late sister, Emem Effanga, who was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Ndifreke Isaiah Nelson.

Emem Effanga, a makeup artist and hairstylist based in Uyo, reportedly lost her life on February 6, 2025, after being brutally attacked and strangled.

Fiokee publicly expressed his grief on February 8, revealing that his sister had been a victim of domestic violence.

On March 17, just hours after the Akwa Ibom State Police confirmed the suspect’s arrest, Fiokee posted her obituary, mourning her tragic passing.

Emem will be laid to rest on March 22, 2025, in her hometown in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

KanyiDaily recalls that Fiokee’s cousin, Purim Mercy, also paid tribute to Emrich Effanga, disclosing that the deceased’s boyfriend served as an usher in a church.
