Nyesom Wike Seen Playing Table Tennis Amid Claims He Suffered Partial Stroke [Video]

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, was seen in Port Harcourt playing table tennis at the home of Senator Barry Mpigi.

Wike’s public appearance comes as rumors about his health have been spreading online, with some claiming he had collapsed, was flown abroad for treatment, or had even passed away.

One social media account, Biafra Reggae Music, went as far as falsely declaring Wike dead.

In his response, Nyesom Wike dismissed the claims, calling them baseless and politically motivated.

He also insisted he’s in good health—better, in fact, than many of the people spreading the false news.

His media aide, Lere Olayinka, also addressed the issue in a Facebook post, saying that Wike had arrived in Port Harcourt and went straight to Senator Mpigi’s house to play table tennis

He mocked those fueling the health rumors, saying some haven’t had a medical checkup in years but are acting like online health experts.

The speculation around Nyesom Wike’s health intensified after President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State and suspended Governor Sim Fubara for six months.
