Mrs. Adizatu, a native of Jattu Uzairue in Etsako West Local Government Area, died on Monday, May 26, 2025, at King Fahad General Hospital in Makkah after falling ill.
The news of her death was shared on Tuesday morning, May 27, in a WhatsApp voice message by the Chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh.
While he didn’t reveal the exact nature of her illness, Uduimoh revealed that Adizatu had taken ill after performing Tawaaf and was admitted to the hospital on Sunday before passing away the next day.
“Mrs. Adizatu was hospitalized on Sunday, May 25, 2025, after (Tawaaf) following a short illness and succumbed to her condition the following day.
“In accordance with Islamic rites, Mrs. Adizatu was buried in Makkah on the evening of the same day she passed away.
“The Chairman of the Board has since contacted her family in Jattu Uzairue to inform them of the tragic development,” Uduimoh said.
