The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a new drop in petrol prices, cutting N15 off the pump price across Nigeria.
The updated prices now range from N875 to N905 per litre, depending on the region.
This new pricing was shared on Dangote Refinery’s official social media page on Thursday and applies to all its partner fuel stations.
These include major marketers like MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.
Before the adjustment, petrol sold for N890 per litre in Lagos and went as high as N920 in regions like the North-East and South-South.
With the new changes, petrol now costs N875 in Lagos, while residents in the North-East and South-South will pay N905 per litre.
A regional breakdown of the new prices shows Lagos: N875, South-West: N885, North-East: N905, North-West & Central: N895, South-South & South-East: N905
Dangote Refinery also advised Nigerians to only buy fuel from its verified partner outlets and report any station not following the new price using the numbers: +234 707 470 2099 or +234 707 470 2100.
The company emphasised that its petrol and diesel are refined to improve engine performance and are more environmentally friendly.
KanyiDaily recalls that Aliko Dangote recently revealed that ‘cabal’ in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector are still working behind the scenes to sabotage the progress of his $20 billion refinery project in Lekki, Lagos.
