Timilehin Ajayi appeared in court on Tuesday for the latest hearing in the ongoing case, which has drawn widespread attention due to its disturbing details.
He was arrested on January 12 after Salome Adaidu, who was serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja, was killed during a visit to his home in the Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu LGA, Nasarawa State.
Police caught him while he was attempting to dispose of her dismembered body.
During interrogation, Ajayi showed no sign of remorse, claiming Salome was his girlfriend and accusing her of being unfaithful.
His decision to pray in court has stirred mixed reactions. While some see it as an act of repentance or desperation, others view it as ironic and unsettling, given the gravity of the crime he is accused of.
KanyiDaily recalls that Nasarawa State Police Command arrested Timileyin Ajayi for allegedly killing and dismembering his girlfriend, Salome Enejo, for suspected ritual purposes.
