Julius Abure, the factional chairman of the Labour Party (LP), paid a visit to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The meeting took place at Wike’s home in Abuja, but the reason behind their discussion has not been made public.
This meeting comes shortly after Abure’s faction called on Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, to leave the party over his involvement with a coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Wike, though a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), currently serves as a minister in the APC-led government.
Some within the PDP have accused him of fueling internal divisions and playing a major role in the party’s recent troubles.
