Controversial rapper Speed Darlington has stirred reactions online after boasting about dumping Lagos girls for women in New York, shortly after fleeing Nigeria.

His comments come after the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) declared him wanted over allegations of being involved with a minor.
After failing to honour NAPTIP’s invitation after he confessed in a video shared on his Instagram page to have slept with a 15-year-old girl, the artist reportedly left Nigeria and returned to the U.S.
In a recent video, Speed Darlington claimed he now prefers New York girls, saying they are more focused on love, unlike Nigerian women, whom he accused of being too money-driven.
“I left Lagos girl for New York girls. I thought they were better. This people dey do love. Our own people na ‘give me money, give me money,” the said.

KanyiDaily recalls that Speed Darlington recently mocked NAPTIP’s invitation, demanding N2.5 million and round-trip tickets for him and his assistant if they wanted him to appear for questioning.
