Atiku Visits Malami After Convoy Attack, Demands End To Violence Against ADC Members

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has visited former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, to sympathize with him after his convoy was attacked in Birnin Kebbi.

During the visit, Atiku urged Malami to remain steadfast in defending Nigerians against forces that threaten democracy.

He condemned the rising wave of violent attacks targeting members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across the country, describing it as dangerous for the nation’s political stability.

In a statement released by Muhammad Al-Amin, Zonal Coordinator of the Malami Support Organization, Atiku called on security agencies and relevant authorities to act quickly to prevent further violence.

The ADC coalition remains committed to rescuing Nigeria’s democracy from imminent threats. We must not allow anti-democratic forces to thrive,” Atiku was quoted as saying.

Malami, in his response, thanked Atiku for the solidarity visit.

He said he was still dealing with the consequences of the convoy attack, stressing that the incident was a clear sign of the dangers posed by politicized violence.

This incident is a stark warning against the politicisation of violence and the deliberate attempt to undermine democratic institutions for partisan gain,” the former Justice Minister said.

KanyiDaily recalls that suspected political thugs attacked the convoy of Abubakar Malami, in Kebbi State.
