This is the first time Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has directly addressed reports of a fallout with his parents.
In a series of Instagram posts, the 26-year-old accused his parents, Sir David Beckham and Lady Beckham, of repeatedly attacking him and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, through the media.
He claimed they tried for years to damage his marriage and left him feeling forced to speak out after trying to keep the issue private.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn Beckham wrote.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
He added: “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
Much of his message focused on his wife Nicola, an American actress and the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz.
He said she had been “consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one”.
He claimed his fashion designer mother had “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress“.
At the time of the wedding, reports claimed Nicola, 31, had refused to wear a design by Lady Beckham.
However, Nicola later said her mother-in-law had realised her fashion house could not complete the dress on time, denying that there was any bad blood.
Brooklyn also alleged that his mother disrupted their first dance at the wedding, claiming “my mum was waiting to dance with me” instead of his wife and “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone”.
He said the couple renewed their vows in 2025 to create new memories “that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment”
He further claimed that, shortly before the wedding, his parents had “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name.”
He said he refused, and that decision “affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since“.
It remains unclear exactly which rights he was referring to.
Brooklyn also addressed why he and Nicola did not attend his father’s 50th birthday celebration in May.
He said they travelled to London for the occasion but were “rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him“.
“He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner,” the influencer wrote.
According to Brooklyn, his father later agreed to meet him alone, but only if Nicola did not attend.
He described this as deeply hurtful and said his family later refused to see him during a trip to Los Angeles.
At the time, another report suggested Brooklyn skipped the party because his younger brother Romeo attended with someone Brooklyn had previously been linked to.
Brooklyn claimed his mother had “repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable”.
He said: “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety.
“For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared”.
Brooklyn further alleged that he endured “endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders”.
He added that his younger brothers had also been “sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer”.
In December, Cruz Beckham denied reports that their parents had unfollowed Brooklyn on social media, saying the claims were false and that he himself had woken up blocked as well.
Sir David and Lady Beckham have four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and their daughter, Harper Seven.
At the time of filing this report, neither Sir David nor Lady Beckham has publicly commented on the alleged family rift.
