Without directly mentioning her name, MC Fish addressed claims that he relied on his ex-wife financially.
He said he has been working as a professional MC and hype man for more than 15 years and earns his own income.
The hype man, who spoke in a series of Instagram posts, added that anyone suggesting he lived off Anita Joseph is not being truthful.
He pointed out that their marriage lasted five years and challenged anyone to say she alone handled all the financial responsibilities during that period.
MC Fish also criticized the way people look down on hype men.
He said many of those who mock the job online are the same people who hire hype men for events and pay them well.
He further stated that he contributed to his ex-wife’s progress, saying he helped set up businesses for her, worked on monetizing her social media pages, and acted at different times as her manager, public relations aide, and protocol officer.
Speaking to those attacking him online, MC Fish warned that if the false stories continue, he will start mentioning names and sharing details.
He added that he had kept quiet until now because he was busy throughout December.
