American Streamer Kai Cenat Returns To Lagos, Visits Governor Sanwo-Olu [Video]

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday hosted American streamer and online personality Kai Cenat at the Lagos House in Marina.

Kai Cenat had earlier arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, where he was welcomed with music and fanfare.

This marks his second trip to both Nigeria and Lagos. His arrival quickly became a trending topic online.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat, shared details of the visit on X.

According to him, Cenat spoke about his positive experiences in Lagos during his meeting with the governor.

The statement reads, “Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today received American Online Streamer, YouTube and Internet Personality @KaiCenat on a Courtesy Visit at the Lagos House, Marina.

“He shared some of his very nice experiences he has enjoyed visiting Lagos, this is his second visit to the State.”

Gawat noted that the streamer is back to monitor projects he plans to carry out for children and young people in Lagos.

“Kai Cenat is in Lagos to follow up on some projects and initiatives he plans to execute for kids and young people in Lagos State, Nigeria,” the statement concluded.

Cenat’s return comes nearly a year after his first visit, when he announced plans to donate $5 million to build a school for children in Makoko, a waterfront community in Lagos.

The project later faced challenges, including land and approval issues. Because of the area’s floating structures, the proposed site was moved to Yaba, a more stable location.

Despite the change, Cenat said that children from Makoko will still benefit from free education once the school is completed.

During his Mafiathon 3 livestream, he revealed that over $1 million had already been raised for the project.

He explained that the plan is to spend the funds carefully and ensure the school is built to last, rather than rushing the process.

His latest visit has once again generated excitement among fans in Nigeria, with many hoping it will speed up progress on the school project.
