In a post shared on his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest questioned why backing a candidate from another region should be seen as betrayal.
According to him, Nigerians need to think beyond tribe and focus on what is best for the country as a whole.
He pointed to Tinubu’s political journey as an example, noting that the president supported Muhammadu Buhari, who is from a different ethnic group, and waited eight years before eventually becoming president.
He described this as a calculated and patient political move.
Chief Priest argued that people should align themselves with leaders who have experience, structure, and a clear direction, rather than making decisions based only on ethnic sentiment.
He suggested that working within the system may be more productive than constant protests or opposition that bring little change.
He wrote, “If as an Igbo man supporting Tinubu is a betrayal, what is a Yoruba man supporting Obi? We can only be Nigerians for us to prosper in Nigeria.
“Wetin your governor wey get immunity see align with na wetin una wan make common business man like us to battle.
“Tinubu is 20 steps ahead, can’t you guys read the lines? How can we comfortably decide to fail again, all in the name of being tribalistic?
” For Tinubu to become president, he motioned to Buhari, a Hausa man, and waited for 8 years before he could become president. Na him be that EMILOKAN wey baba dey shout.
“Tinubu served! Leaving Tinubu to support any other candidate for this election is like not looking both ways before crossing the road.
” Follow who know road, stay with a person who gets structure so that you sef fit tap in & plan for your own better future. We don’t fight, protest, scream, yell, or even Kpai ourselves & nothing changed.
“We don even do sit at home for years, nothing changed. Like this, the only option is for us to serve & get settled. Only Time Will Tell.
“If you can’t beat them, You Join Them. Umunne, it’s better to be inside than outside. Think. Am well, join @cityboy.movement_hq”.
