Nyesom Wike Monitors FCT Council Elections, Orders Traders To Close Up [Video]

As residents of the Federal Capital Territory went out to vote in the area council elections, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, moved around parts of the territory to observe how the process was going.

Wike’s first stop was at polling units located on Lagos Street in Garki 2, Abuja.

While there, he saw that some traders had opened their shops despite the election guidelines.

The minister ordered them to close their businesses and follow the rules set for the exercise.

Wike encouraged residents to act responsibly by leaving their homes to cast their votes and take part in the democratic process.

The minister also visited the Karu Chief’s Palace and other locations as part of his tour to monitor the elections.
