The missionary man said he proposed building a market for the community as part of the recovery effort.
However, according to him, the state government turned down his plan and later sent him a different market design estimated to cost ₦300 million.
The missionary argued that the amount was too high.
He maintained that the market could be built for ₦60 million or less and questioned why such a large sum was being suggested.
He also said he is not aware of any village market in Nigeria that should cost ₦300 million.
The missionary further alleged that some people are taking advantage of the hardship faced by residents affected by bandit attacks in Benue for their own personal benefit.
