Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Emmanuel Okose has made controversial claims about the state of the church.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, the cleric alleged that, in today’s church setting, a person must secretly engage in bisexual and be part of a closed group or network before being accepted as a “true man of God.”
He criticised the unhealthy practices within the church, suggesting that spiritual values are being replaced by questionable standards.
Pastor Emmanuel Okose also expressed concern that his generation needs serious spiritual cleansing.
Despite his criticism, he referenced a Bible passage to affirm his belief that the church will endure and overcome challenges.
He wrote, ‘’Church these days have become a joke… Where you need to be a hidden bisexual to belong to the “click”, join a cartel before you belong….If you don’t join the cartel, you can’t be considered as a real man of God.
“The holy ghost has left the church, my generation needs serious purging of the spirit.
“But one thing is sure, ” I will build my church and the gate of hell shall not prevail over it” (Matt 16:18)”
His comments have since triggered debate on social media, with many people sharing different opinions about his claims.

KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian journalist, Fejiro Oliver accused a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, of being a bisexual who cheated on his wife with his fellow man.
