US President Donald Trump has taunted Iran after the country apologised to its neighbours over retaliatory airstrikes.

Iran had launched missile and drone attacks on several US military bases in Gulf nations, including Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait, in response to earlier US and Israeli strikes.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the country does not plan to invade neighbouring states and called for regional cooperation to maintain peace.
“I deem it necessary to apologise to neighbouring countries that were attacked. We do not intend to invade neighbouring countries,” Pezeshkian said.
On Saturday, Trump reacted on his Truth Social platform, claiming Iran’s apology was the result of “relentless US and Israeli attacks.”
He accused Iran of attempting to dominate the Middle East saying, “Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologised and surrendered to its Middle East neighbours.
“They were looking to take over and rule the Middle East. It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries.
“They have said, ‘Thank you President Trump’. I have said, ‘You’re welcome!’
“Iran is no longer the bully of the Middle East, they are, instead, ‘The loser of the Middle East’ and will be for many decades until they surrender, or more likely, completely collapse!
Trump also warned that Iran would face further military action, stressing that “Today, Iran will be hit very hard!”
He added that because of Iran’s “bad behaviour”, some areas and groups of people who were not considered for targeting “up until this moment in time” are under serious consideration for “complete destruction and certain death”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Donald Trump recently demanded that he should have a say in who becomes Iran’s next supreme leader, after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
