Niger FMC Worker Assaulted For Criticising Governor Umar Bago [Video]

Dzukogi, who is from Emi Ajiya Nupe in Bida, had earlier shared a video in the Nupe language where he criticised the outcome of the APC primary elections.

In the video, the FMC worker accused the governor of forcing certain candidates on party members rather than allowing a fair process.

The governor thinks he can just wake up and impose any candidate on us. Even when he was contesting, he came to Bida and told us that if he wins, whatever he does, they should leave him to God,” he said.

He went further to suggest that the governor may struggle to secure a second term in office, adding that leadership should not be treated as absolute power.

Dzukogi added, “Even him, it is only one term that he will do; he will not win his second term bid. Why is he acting like a man with superpowers now?”

Shortly after the video circulated, another clip emerged online showing the FMC staff being harassed by a group of men believed to be linked to local authorities.

In the video, Dzukogi was forced to roll on the ground before being pushed into a waiting vehicle and taken away.

The incident has since drawn attention online, with many reacting to the treatment of the medical worker following his criticism of the political process.
