JAMB Begins Direct Verification Of Candidates’ O’Level Results – How To Check

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates’ O’Level results to be verified directly with the examination bodies that issued them.

JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, announced the development on Monday via his X page.

He said the process would be carried out with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Under the new system, candidates can upload their O’Level results from home while JAMB confirms the results directly with the relevant examination body.

According to Benjamin, the move is designed to make the process quicker, easier and more convenient for candidates.

“The initiative is part of the Board’s renewed commitment to making services easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates.

“By using technology to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes, JAMB is putting candidate ease of service delivery at the centre of its operations,” the JAMB spokesman wrote.

He said the new system is also expected to reduce problems linked to manual result uploads, including lost or mixed-up documents, fake or unverified results, and mistakes when entering subjects and grades.

“The new arrangement also addresses challenges associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.

“Through the integration of JAMB’s eFacility platform with examination bodies, results can now be verified directly against the examination body’s records before being downloaded into the candidate’s profile,” the spokesman said.

How to Verify and Upload O’Level Results

Candidates are required to complete the process in two stages.

Stage One: Result Verification

1. Visit the official result verification platform.
2. Enter your National Identification Number (NIN) and select “Verify NIN”.
3. Choose the number of sittings and the relevant examination body or bodies, then continue.
4. Provide your email address and phone number and proceed to payment.
5. Pay using a debit card or bank transfer.
6. Enter the examination details, including examination number, series and year.
7. Verify the result for the selected sitting or sittings and obtain the Verification Code.

Stage Two: Upload of O’Level Results

8. Send “VERIFY” followed by the Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.
9. The result will be uploaded and a notification will be sent to the candidate.
10. Candidates with two sittings will be directed to their e-Facility profile.
11. Select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” on the dashboard.
12. Enter the Verification Code to display the verified results.
13. Select the required subjects, ensuring that at least five and no more than nine subjects are chosen, with no subject selected twice.
14. Click “Apply the O’Level Results”.
15. A confirmation message will be sent after the upload is completed successfully.

Benjamin also praised JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, for supporting the introduction of the technology-driven system.

He said JAMB would continue to work with examination bodies and government agencies to improve its services and make them easier, safer and more accessible to candidates.
