Olamide’s Baby Mama, Maria Okan Opens Up About Receiving Money To Kill Her Baby

Maria Okan, an On-Air-Personality (OAP) and baby mama to Nigerian rapper, Olamide, has dismissed claims that she was offered money to abort her pregnancy.

KanyiDaily recalls that in 2019, the media personality was said to have been pregnant for the rapper who recently welcomed a son with his fiancée, Bukunmi Aisha Suleiman.

According to Instablog9ja, Maria Okan betrayed Olamide by using the pregnancy to extort money after promising that she will abort the pregnancy.

An insider source told the media outlet that after Maria discovered that she was one month pregnant for Olamide, she approached him and requested money to terminate the pregnancy and return to the United Kingdom.

The source revealed that the rapper obliged and gave her the sum of N2million. The radio presenter thereafter resigned from Beat FM and left for London.

However, on getting there, she decided to keep the pregnancy, thus causing serious tension between the erstwhile lovers, due to the sudden breach of the agreement.

Seeing that the situation won’t change and it was getting messy, Olamide opened up to his then-pregnant fiancée, Bukunmi, and he was forgiven.

But a in series of posts shared on her Twitter page on Tuesday, Okan finally addressed the rumours that broke out three years ago about Olamide giving her N2m to terminate her pregnancy.

The media personality, who is now based in the United Kingdom, said she never made any attempt to kill her child because she loves motherhood.

She wrote: “Good morning I was never offered, I never asked, nor did I receive money to murder a child. I heard that story for the 1st time when you all did – when I was 8 months You say I made the wrong choice to carry life, and I should’ve opted for murder? Pele. I love motherhood.

“At the time those nonsense stories came out, I chose to focus on delivering my child since I had a high-risk pregnancy and a fibroid that practically exploded a few months in. But as she is safe and sound now, there’s no pressure. We thank God.

“And for the record, no one gave me any stinking money for an abortion. As a mother, when you carry a child and deliver her by the Grace of God, you will know how insulting this is and has been.

Addressing her critics, Okan said, “Your trolling comments, death threats and insults all these years have meant nothing lol. We are doing well, we are healthy, we are making money and we will continue to elevate.”
