Nigerian Singer Portable has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu in a video where he pushed back at critics and praised the president’s ongoing efforts.

In the video, Portable shared his belief that Nigeria is on the right path under Tinubu’s leadership.

He dismissed negative comments, saying the president isn’t loud or boastful but is quietly making progress behind the scenes.

In pidgin English, Portable said: “Since when dem don born me, Wey Nigeria don dey, e go better, e go better, na Tinubu tenure Nigeria better, na Tinubu make Nigeria better, Tinubu best president.”

The singer also criticized those who bash Tinubu online, pointing out the irony of people insulting someone who is getting things done.

“I see people dey insult Tinubu. My brother, dem go post Tinubu and still insult am. But Tinubu no dey talk — he dey work. Real work, not noise,” he said.

Switching to Yoruba, Portable claimed that Tinubu’s time in office is the best Nigeria has had.

The singer urged people not to be misled, saying Tinubu is sticking to his promises and slowly improving the country.

He said, “Tinubu’s time is the best. Don’t let anyone deceive you. Tinubu is doing what he promised. Go and check. Things are getting better. We are behind Tinubu 100%.”

Portable added that even those criticising Tinubu today will still “benefit from his government tomorrow.”

This comes a few days after Portable asked Nollywood actor, Lege Miami for N50 million to promote President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
