Mayowa Lambe Gives Roby Ekpo 48 Hours To Retract Claims, Pay N100m Damages
Nigerian on-air personality, Mayowa Lambe has issued a cease-and-desist notice to her estranged husband, Robert Ekpo.

Mayowa Lambe is demanding that Robert Ekpo retract false statements made about her and pay N100 million in damages.
The notice, sent on behalf of Lambe through the Yolanda George-David Foundation, was made public on April 22.
The legal notice calls for Ekpo to stop spreading defamatory remarks about Lambe, remove any related content from his platforms, issue a public apology, and make the requested financial compensation.
Failure to comply within three days could lead to legal action, including demands for further damages, injunctions, and criminal charges.
The notice read, “You are hereby required to: Immediately cease and desist from further publication or repetition of all defamatory statements.
“Remove all existing defamatory content across all platforms.
“Issue a clear, unqualified, and public retraction of all false statements.
“Publish a full public apology to Our Client via the same platforms used to disseminate the defamatory content.
“Pay the sum of ₦100,000,000.00 as damages.”
The legal action follows Robert Ekpo’s appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, where he discussed the breakdown of his marriage to Mayowa Lambe.
In his recounting, Ekpo claimed that Lambe had been unfaithful, had lied about fertility issues, and had secretly used contraceptives while he believed he was the one with fertility problems.
He also alleged that she had deceived him about the reason for a trip to Miami, which he claimed was for cosmetic surgery, not for a fertility treatment as she had said.
Ekpo went on to describe issues within their marriage, including suspicions around Lambe’s interactions with other men, her living arrangements abroad, and the lack of warmth when they reunited in Nigeria.
He also claimed that he had financially supported her during their time apart, despite their troubled relationship.
The cease-and-desist notice counters these claims, stating that Lambe had ended the marriage with full knowledge and consent from both families before May 11, 2025, and that no legal marital relationship existed since that date.
The notice accuses Ekpo of intentionally spreading false information to damage Lambe’s reputation and mislead the public.
It also presents evidence of Lambe’s own financial contributions, her efforts to support Ekpo’s career and relocation abroad, and medical records showing her involvement in the fertility process.
The notice claims that Ekpo’s actions have caused emotional harm, damage to Lambe’s reputation, and an increase in online harassment.
Lambe has largely remained silent on the matter, only posting messages suggesting she is at peace with her choices, while Ekpo has not publicly responded to the cease-and-desist notice.
