Britain Got Talent Judge Alesha Dixon Reveals Why She’s Yet To Accept Her Nigerian Boyfriend’s Proposal

Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has told how she has rebuffed her partner’s marriage proposals as he is yet to “get down on one knee”.

The 36-year-old singer said she wanted to marry Azuka Ononye, known as AZ, and have more children together but she revealed that she felt previous proposals by Ononye, father to her 18-month-old daughter Azura, was just him “joking around”.

She said:

“AZ has asked me to marry him loads of times now. He’s always doing it, but I always say no. It’s like he’s joking around.

“I want him to buy a ring and get down on one knee. When he does that I’ll say yes straight away. I definitely want to marry him.

“I definitely want more children. Not immediately, because I have a few more life goals I want to achieve, but some time.

“I love being a mother, it has brought me so much closer with AZ, so we would like more children one day.”

Ms Dixon is thought to have met Ononye, a dancer, when they worked together as she launched her solo career after the break-up of girl group Mis-Teeq.

The star was previously married to former So Solid Crew member MC Harvey in 2005 but they split up a year later.
