Angelina Jolie has hired crisis manager Judy Smith, the character Olivia Pope from Scandal was based on.

According to reports Angelina Jolie has hired Judy Smith to turn the rising tide of bad press she has received after filing for divorce from actor Brad Pitt.

Smith served as Special Assistant and Deputy Press Secretary to former United States President George H. W. Bush and after leaving the White House founded Smith & Company, a consulting firm specializing in crisis management and media relations.


Notable clients include Monica Lewinsky, Wesley Snipes, Michael Vick, Paula Deen and former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Smith is also a consultant and producer for the ABC hit series Scandal, which was inspired by her work.
