The 16-year-old girl, Nihat who was gifted a Mercedes Benz, an iWatch, and iPhone X Max by her boyfriend, Zubairu, on her 16th birthday in Abuja is reported beaten by her parents.
A few days ago a video surfaced online, the video is about a 19-years-old, 100 level student, Zubairu, who gifted his 16-years-old, SS 3 student girlfriend, Nihat, a Mercedez Benz, an iWatch and iPhone X Max on her 16th birthday. While a lot of Nigerians deemed the gifts as very wrong due to the age of the couple, others pointed accusing fingers at the parents of the girl for letting their daughter collect such kind of gifts.
Well, a new discovery from someone who knew the duo very well, claimed that the parents of the girl have taken action by mercilessly beating their daughter for receiving gifts of such nature.
Not only that, the report also claimed that the boy who lavished such gifts on his girlfriend had actually stolen the money used in obtaining them from his brother in law.
The rumour started on Snapchat, it spread all the way to Twitter where it picked up the pace and became a full-fledged conversation.
