Founder and Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo has asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to dismiss the rape lawsuit filed against him by Busola Dakolo, now a mother of three and wife to Timi Dakolo, an inspirational singer.
In an application filed through his lawyers on Friday, September 20, 2019, the COZA pastor asked for dismissal of the rape lawsuit against him on grounds of incompetence and frivolity, also demanded to be awarded N50m as damages.
Pastor Fatoyinbo filed the objection notice before the court, two weeks after Busola through her lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi, approached the same court, demanding for a clearly worded apology on the front page of at least two national newspapers and two national television stations for seven days running consecutively.
She also demanded that the COZA pastor addresses a ‘personal apology letter’ showing honest remorse for his misdeed, adding that the sexual assault on her by Fatoyinbo had adversely affected her marital sex life.
She also demanded that N10m be paid by the pastor as cost of action.
