Osun State Police Command has arrested a 56-year-old female Pastor, Kafayat Idowu, who runs a prostitution and child abuse syndicate under the guise of a church.
Police said it had received intelligence reports over her activities in the church by engaging young girls between the ages of 13 and 17 for prostitution for her clients.
Following intelligence reports, the police mounted surveillance and eventually arrested Pastor Kafayat Idowu while she was in the process of negotiating the price for one of the girls inside her Cherubim and Seraphim Church located at No. 37 Oriola Street, Aladelola area of the state.
While being paraded by the police, Pastor Kafayat confessed that she charges N600 after arranging customers for the teenage girls.
One of the victims disclosed that many of them are mostly from broken homes who were lured into prostitution when they sought for help from Pastor Kafayat.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the suspect, Kafayat, will be charged for child abuse and human trafficking.
Following his arrest, the police recovered a small coffin, multiple female pants and braziers from his house.
