A mechanical engineer Collins Osagie was allegedly beaten to death by naval officers stationed at Naval Base AfroMedia Bus stop Along Lagos-Badagry Express Way.
A man who claimed to be the brother-in-law of the deceased said the incident happened on Monday, August 17, 2020, when late Osagie was trying to settle a dispute between the naval officer and a spare parts seller.
According to him, while the deceased was trying between the two men were quarreling over N250, the naval officers turn on him and allegedly beat him to death.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, has confirmed the incident, adding that an investigation has commenced into the matter.
Sports broadcaster, Nnamdi Obanya, who met with a relative of the deceased, shared photos of the deceased man and also what the bereaved relative told him.

Collins (now late) went to make peace between both men by offering the spare part Man the Sum Of #250 to return to the Naval Man, But he refused saying the man already harassed him. Collins proceeded to meet the Naval Man #JusticeForCollinsOsagie

Minutes later 2 naval guys 1st came to the screen but by then the Spare part Dealer had chained his burglary doors. And hidden himself some where. The Naval guys requested for the Dealer from Collins and he told them he doesn't know his whereabout #JusticeForCollinsOsagie

then later another set of 4 to 5 young Naval guys joined the screen at around 7:30 to 8pm.
People started moving away from the screen to avoid been harassed by the Power Drunk Officers.

So, Collins friend asked him to start going home and that he should be careful as he was still going to walk past the naval guys direction.

But one of their colleagues noted that he saw someone like Collins on the ground around Church Bus stop late in the night .

Some Truck pusher who sleep around the spot later came forward to narrate what they witnessed and how they quickly used their scrap truck to wheel him to the nearest hospital.

The case has been transferred to SCID Panty, the Naval man is in custody of the police.
