Police Arrests Man For Killing His 18-Year-Old Friend Over N500 Disagreement In Kano State

Kano State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man, Haruna Ya’u aka Dangaru, fo4 allegedly killing his 18-year-old friend, Sani Ibrahim, following a disagreement over N500 at Dantsinke Area of Tarauni Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that trouble stated between them when Ibrahim allegedly sent Aminu Ahmad, 25, on an errand with the money (N500) to buy some hard drugs, but the later failed as he used the money for another purpose.

An argument ensued when late Ibrahim asked for his money or the item. Haruna who is friends with late Ibrahim, arrived at the scene and took sides with Aminu.

This led to a dispute which escalated into a fight and in the process, Haruna picked up a pair of scissors and stabbed Ibrahim.

Ibrahim was rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano, where he was pronounced dead. His corpse was evacuated by men of the vigilante group in the area.

Kano Command’s spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna confirmed the arrest of the two suspects to newsmen in Kano on Thursday.

Haruna said the Commissioner of Police, CP Habu A. Sani, has ordered that the case be transferred to State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) for Investigations and will be charged to court.

KanyiDaily had also reported how EKSU female Student allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death after an argument transpired between them over failure to give her N2,500 to plait hair.
