The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 163 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infectionsin the country to 60,266.
The NCDC disclosed this on Sunday night via its Twitter handle, where it disclosed that the new cases are recorded in 12 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The 163 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Lagos-113, Kaduna-21, Osun-8, Ondo-5, Oyo-5, Ogun-3, Bayelsa-2, Taraba-2, Edo-1, FCT-1, Katsina-1 and Plateau-1.
The health centre further revealed that 51,735 persons have been successfully treated and discharged so far, while 1,115 persons have died from coronavirus in the country.
“On the 11th of October 2020, 163 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria,” NCDC said.
“The 163 new cases are reported from 12 states- Lagos (113), Kaduna (21), Osun (8), Ondo (5), Oyo (5), Ogun (3), Bayelsa (2), Taraba (2), Edo (1), FCT (1), Katsina (1), Plateau (1).
“Till date, 60266 cases have been confirmed, 51735 cases have been discharged and 1115 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
