US Election: Kanye West Concedes Defeat After Getting Only 57,000 Votes, Says He’ll Run Again In 2024

Popular American rapper, Kanye West has conceded defeat in the US presidential election after getting just 57,000 votes in 12 states – but the rapper has assured fans he’ll be back in 2024.

The 21-time Grammy winner is reported to have received around 57,000 votes across the 12 states in which he was in the running. More than 130 million votes have been counted so far on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

On Tuesday morning, Kanye West had announced he was casting his vote for the first time, for himself on election day. He wrote:

“God is so good Smiling face with smiling eyes Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it’s for someone I truly trust…me.”

The 43-year-old rapper had also encouraged his fans to vote for him by adding him as a write-in candidate on their own ballot papers.

However, in a tweet posted late on Wednesday morning, Kanye West called time and turned his attention to the next election in 2014 after securing on 57,000 votes in 12 states.

While the rapper’s wife Kim Kardashian shared a photo on social media declaring “I voted”, she declined to say whether it was for her husband or not

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has falsely declared himself winner in his fight for a second term against, former Vice President, Joe Biden.
