#EndSARS: Court Strikes Out Criminal Case Against Falz, Davido And Other Celebrities

The Abuja High Court during Wednesday sitting striked out the criminal case against Falz, Davido, Deji Adeyanju, Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Centre and others, over last year’s EndSARS protest.

A lawyer, Kenechukwu Okeke had earlier filed a criminal complaint in the Magistrate Court against 50 activists and celebrities who participated in the #EndSARS protest nationwide.

Okeke in his suit at the Chief Magistrate’s Court alleged that the defendants be held responsible for promoting the #EndSARS protests which according to him claimed lives and property in the country.

Bello Kawu, the judge ordered the Magistrate Court to stop the proceedings against the 50 persons ruling on an application filed by one of the defendants, activist Deji Adeyanju seeking to challenge the criminal complaints before the Magistrate’s Court.

Meanwhile, Adamu Garba has withdrawn $1 Billion lawsuit against Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey for supporting the #EndSARS protest.
