According to UK Daily Mail, the 53-year-old father-of-two passed away from gunshot wound he had on his chest, days after he was charged alongside some others for breaching the Capitol police and flouting curfew.
Documents documents showed that Georgia’s wife had called 911 on Saturday morning about the suicide, telling authorities there was “blood everywhere”.
His body was found in the basement of the home they shared, according to Daily Mail, which added that two semi-automatic rifles were reportedly removed from his house.
Before his death, George was charged with unlawful entry and violation of a curfew imposed to restore calm after he and other supporters of President Donald Trump invaded the Capitol.
It was learnt that unlawful entry is a misdemeanor charge that carries a maximum penalty of up to 180 days in jail and fine of up to $1,000.
KanyiDaily had reported how hundreds of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol as the US Congress attempted to certify Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election.
The invasion and ensuing violence by the pro-Trump supporters led to the deaths of four civilians and a police officer last week.
