Popular Nigerian singer, Davido expressed excitement after seeing himself perform his hit song “Assurance” in a scene of the classic ‘Coming to America 2′ movie.

In the movie, the 28-year-old Afrobeats star could be seen performing ‘Assurance’ in a wedding gathering as Eddie Murphy reprises his iconic role as Prince Akeem in the long-awaited sequel.

Davido is seen wearing a floral suit as he performs during a wedding party in the sequel of the 1988 movie, which has gone down very well with viewers.

Following the release of ‘Coming To America 2’, the singer took to his Instagram page and shared a video of himself watching his performance in the movie on a television set.

Sharing the video, Davido expressed joy of being on the movie with a few legends that held the key to his childhood laughs.

“It was an absolute pleasure sharing a set with a few legends that held the key to my childhood laughs. The sheer effort, work ethic and attention that goes into detail in creating art like this is way more astounding than I could ever imagine.

“I had to experience it to understand. Thank you @amazonstudios !! It was an absolute pleasure and I’d do it all over again! Coming 2 america out now! Everyone go watch it!! Tag your favorite boy when you see him! 😉😉,” he wrote.

“Coming to America” was one of the hit movies in the 90s and its remake had been gathering headlines since it was announced, the addition of Davido to the cast makes it even more exciting to watch out for.
