Oyo APC Chieftain’s Wife, Aderiyike Oni-Salawu Kidnapped By Unknown Gunmen In Ibadan
Dr Aderiyike Oni-Salawu, wife of Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Aromolaran area of Ibadan, the state capital.
The Nations quoted a source saying Dr Oni-Salawu was abducted on Sunday evening in the front of their house at Aromolaran, Old Ife road, Ibadan.
The medical doctor was driving an ambulance home after closing from work around 10pm on Sunday while her husband, Isiaka Salawu, drove behind her.
On getting to the house, she was said to be making efforts to open the gate having alighted from the ambulance when some gunmen attacked and whisked her away in a Nissan Micra car.
“They grabbed her from behind and overpowered her. Other members of the gang also swooped on her husband inside his car behind the ambulance and dispossessed him of his mobile phones and other valuables. Then they whisked the wife away,” the source said.
When contacted, the police public relations officer, Adewale Osifeso could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
KanyiDaiky had also reported how armed robbers recently attacked a Chinese expatriate in Umuahia, killing his orderly and driver in a broad day incident.
