Nollywood Actor, Leo Mezie Dies In Abuja After Long Battle With Kidney Disease

Popular Nollywood actor, Leo Mezie has passed away in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, after a long battle with kidney disease.

Leo Mezie Is Dead

The actor, who had been battling a Kidney disease, was said to have died on Saturday, May 14, due to complications he developed after a kidney transplant last week.

His colleague, Chioma Toplis, who announced his passing on her Instagram page this afternoon, said Mezie’s corpse has been moved to his hometown in Umahia, Abia State.

She wrote: “Actor Leo Mezie is dead. He died on Saturday in Abuja while recovering from a kidney transplant. His corpse has been moved to Umuahia his hometown. RIP Leo.”

Leo Mezie’s death comes barely four days after another veteran actor, Gbenga Richards passed away after begging Nigerians for financial help.
