On Monday, the former Borno governor represented the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu at the annual NBA conference at the Eko Atlantic City from August 22 to 26.

Shettima was dressed in a black suit and red tie, accompanied by a pair of gym sneakers, which has continued to elicit a wave of mixed reactions on social media.

Several users faulted his fashion sense, arguing that he should not have worn the attire to an official outing such as the NBA conference, while a few others defended him.

Amid the reactions trailing the former governor’s choice of outfit, some social media users took to Twitter to initiate the #ShettimaChallenge to mock him over his fashion sense.

However, supporters of the APC including Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, donned a similar outfit to justify Shettima’s fashion sense.
