President Buhari To Meet British Monarch, King Charles III In Buckingham Palace

President Buhari will meet King Charles in the next few hours.

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari is expected to meet with His Royal Majesty, King Charles III in Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.

It was gathered that the Nigerian president will meet the British monarch in the next few hours.

While the reason for the meeting is not clear, both leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and how the UK can help Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.

KanyiDaily recalls that President Buhari is currently in the United Kingdom for a ‘routine medical check-up’ after leaving Nigeria in late October, and is expected back in the second week of November.

Meanwhile, King Charles III had written to the Nigerian president, sympathizing with him over the recent floods that have killed over 600 people and over two million displaced in the country.

President Buhari had also written King Charles III to congratulate him on succeeding late Queen Elizabeth ll who died in September aged 96.
