The disqualification of Cole was based on a dual citizenship suit pressed against him.

The candidate is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

Reports say the state’s PDP had asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify Cole, claiming that the delegates that voted at the primary election that brought in the candidate were not democratically elected.

When the matter commenced, the counsel to APC, raised a preliminary objection on the jurisdiction of the court to hear the suit.

This is a developing story. More details will be added soon.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported how Operatives the of Rapid Response Squad (RSS) in Delta State arrested a 52-year-old man with two Pump action guns concealed under the rear seat compartment of his car.
