I Was Forced To Pay 5k My Friend Borrowed To Make Turkey Stew For Her Boyfriend Without My Knowledge – Nigerian Lady

A Nigerian lady, simply by the name of Nefisah has recounted how a friend that was squatting with her used her as a guarantor to borrow money without her knowledge.

Nefisah said this friend of hers went to a neighbour, named Sunday to borrow N5k to use in preparing Turkey stew for her boyfriend and afterward went back to Lagos after a few days after.

She disclosed this while reacting to a post by a Twitter user, simply by the name, Talk2vee.

In the post by Talk2vee,  she asked users to narrate their experiences with standing as a guarantor for someone.

She wrote, “Gbese series.

“Have you ended up paying a debt that you didn’t incur?..

“Were you ever a guarantor?😅

“Have you been arrested because the debtor wasn’t found?

Taking to the comment section of the post, Nefisah said after her friend went to Lagos, a few days later, Sunday knocking on her door for his N5k.

According to her, she thought Sunday was mistaken and had to call her friend.

She disclosed that her friend told her she asked Sunday to collect the money from her, adding that the neighbour refused to go until she had to pay him the money.

Nefisah further disclosed in subsequent replies that she had to cut being friends with her.

I had a girl squatting with me back then in school, one day she said her boyfriend insisted he wanted Turkey stew and doesn’t have cash. Then she went to one of my neighbor(Sunday) to borrow 5k to cook for the said boyfriend. She went back to Lagos a few days later only for Sunday to come to knock on my door for his 5k. I thought he was mistaken so I called her and she said she told him to collect the money from me. Sunday didn’t move an inch from my door till I refunded him sha. That was the first crack at the friendship.
