It was gathered that the passenger train was heading to Kaduna from Abuja when the accident occurred on Friday.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) is yet to speak on the cause of the incident, but many passengers were seen wandering around the derailed train.
NRC Managing Director, Engr. Fidet Okhiria confirmed the incident, noting that he was waiting to receive complete information on the incident.
