It was gathered that the clergyman’s wife was also abducted by the gunmen who attacked their residence in the early hours of Thursday.
“The incident happened on Thursday at about 2am. The bandits came and went straight to the residence of the clergyman.
“They wanted to kidnap him but he resisted them and in the process, they shot him dead and left with his wife.
“Almost on a daily basis, our villages are being attacked and people are being abducted by bandits,” a resident told TheCable.
