A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Secretary of the party in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Amadi Osaronu has been kidnapped by gunmen.
Amadi Osaronu was abducted from his residence in Aluu, Ikwerre LGA on Wednesday.
The gunmen who abducted Amadi Osaronu were said to be dressed in police uniforms.
His abduction was confirmed on Thursday by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Darlington Nwauju.
“No amount of intimidation and arm-twisting will change the outcome of the March 18 which would be a resounding defeat for the Peoples Democratic Party,” he said.

Amadi Osaronu’s abduction comes a few days after gunmen also kidnapped the Accord Party candidate for the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chukwudi Ogbonna.
