BREAKING: My Victory Does Not Render Me More Nigerian Than My Opponents – Bola Tinubu

Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu has said his victory at the February 25th general election does not render him more Nigerian than his opponents at the polls.

Tinubu stated this in his inaugural speech after being sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th president on Monday at Eagle Square in Abuja.

His major opponents at the poll are Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party  (LP) who have since approached the courts, alleging that the elections were marred by irregularities and other electoral malpractice.

My victory does not render me more Nigerian than the rest of you. It also does not render my opponents less Nigerian than me. I will treat my opponents, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, as important compatriots,” Tinubu said in his inaugural address at Eagle Square, Abuja.

He also argued that Nigeria had not had a better election than the recently concluded one in its history.
