“I Was Framed’ – Lil Frosh Begs Davido 3 Years After His Ex-Girlfriend Accused Him Of Assaulting Her [Video]

Nigerian singer Lil Frosh, a former signee of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), has publicly appealed to his former boss for a second chance.

KanyiDaily recalls that in 2020, Lil Frosh faced accusations of assault from his ex-girlfriend, Gift Camille also known as Cute Gemini.

Camille’s brother, Michael, had shared photos of her bruised face, leading to Lil Frosh’s arraignment and subsequent termination of his DMW contract by Davido.

Gift Camille withdrew the case in 2022 after reaching an out-of-court settlement with the singer who she claimed she has forgiven.

However, three years after the incident, Lil Frosh took to social media on Saturday, January 27, 2024, to refute the assault allegations.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the singer denied beating Gift Camille and explained that he had only slapped her because she disrespected his mother, expressing immediate remorse.

Lil Frosh further claimed that the matter had been resolved, and at the time, he was caring for Camille, who had a boil, before she left his house.

He claimed that she falsely accused him of assault with photos of her swollen face which was an allergic reaction to food.

In his plea to his former boss Davido, Lil Frosh emphasized that the assault allegations had severely impacted his career.

He wrote, “God knows I didn’t beat Gemini, I was framed, I was blackmailed. I still can’t get my career after all I paid her because of the lies that were told against me.

“Nobody gave me listening ears. I tried to explain to my ex-boss @davido but he didn’t want to listen because of his zero tolerance for hitting women. Help me beg Davido to give me a chance again.”

Sharing a photo collage depicting the genesis of Gemini’s allergic reactions, Lil Frosh appealed to Davido to reconsider reinstating his contract at DMW Records.

Lil Frosh added: “See how everything started on her face, it started with a reaction that caused a boil, we even went to the pharmacy to check what happened to her.

“Sadly after medications, the conditions worsened and when it became really big they turned the story that I hit her, and presented these pictures as evidence.

“I tried to explain nobody wanted to hear me out, that was the peak of my career, I begged they refused to stop, they collected money and left me empty, no label, no love, turned my fans against me, turned Nigerians against me, at a point I almost ended it all, seeing the people I started music with become way bigger than me, my life was a bad news, no motivation anywhere, please guys help me beg @davido for a second chance.”
